Hello. I found this in a local pawn shop today. I did not havt the camera with me but here goes.
A.Woodhill on both locks. Exposed hammers. Both hammers have a half-cock postition I guess for loading/unloading and saftey. Right barrel is 12 ga. Left barrel is 50/70, so the tag says. It is not marked for that caliber anywhere on the gun. Top of barrel rib says 'fine stub twist barrel', 30" barrels. It appears to have the original hammers (at least they match). The forend release is a button/slide type you push to one side to get off. Buttplate is a crescent steel type with a widows peak at top of heel. 14 3/8 l.o.p. straight grip. Fixed front sight with a v-notch rear with an extra fold up/down leaf in front of it for longer ranges. There is the number "13" under the right shotgun barrel and the number "41" under the rifle barrel. Initials "C.W." on the bottom rib under the forearm. I could find no serial number at all. There were other stamps/proof markings that I could not describe.
1) Who is A. Woodhill.
2) Is he a british or American maker? or hardware store brand?
3) About when might this gun have been made?
4) Condition - average. Shotgun bore has some pitts. Rifle bore
has got alot of rifling left. The wood has probably been
redone.
5) I know value is such a subjective thing, especially w/o pics.
About what is one of these guns worth? He has $2k on it.
