The Beretta Museum is a great treat, but is not always open. It would be a good idea to write them in advance for an appointment. You should get a warm welcome at FAMARS if they're in (Marco and Christina). They travel a lot to all the shows, so, again, it helps to pre-announce yourselves. The euro is lower than it has been, so you should be able to get a good deal. If you can get to visit some of the engravers, e.g. Creative Arts or Il Bulino, you'll see some wonderful work. Enjoy the food and wine. There's a pretty hotel right off the main road on the river. I forget its name, but everyone there will know it. Just driving through the town is like the catalogue page from a fine gunmakers' book, you'll see all the names signposted. As John says, you won't find any unfriendliness, although you may not find Inglese spoken depending on who's in.
