Hi all got some new info from the seller to update this previous post

http://www.doublegunshop.com/forums/ubbt...84306da763a99b5

Here's the updated info from the seller:

Left bbl - .710

Right bbl - .729

DAC - 1.7"

DAH - 2.85"

So what are your thoughts on this gun in light of this new info?

All the best!!

Greg

Gee, that's unusually nice plank of wood on ole' 'Kaiser Roll' gun, but the action still looks like pit viper's head. If you buy that thing name Herr Venomous comes to mind.

gjw, that is not new information about the (barrel, choke, bore??) diameter. The .730, if the choke or bore, is pretty big for a Sauer.

Two problems, Greg:

1. I'm assuming the figures he's giving you are at the muzzle. That does not tell you what you have for constriction, because you also need the bore diameter. According to the 13/1 stamp on the barrel flats, the bore diameter should be .719 or very close, which would mean you've got an IC left barrel . . . and a right barrel that's apparently been honed out about .010.

2. You've got more than 2 3/4" DAH, which would be too much drop for a lot of us.

The gun looks pretty good, but I'm still getting serious alarms, per the above.

Yup, the .730 should set off very loud alarms when shopping for German guns.

Hi all, just was tossing this out for discussion. I have no intent on biddig or buying this one. The seller did send me some pics of the action. It's been polished as was stated. This is not one were the action has gone grey, it looks as if it was buffed. Not natural wear.

Anyway, thanks for all the info, always great to learn!

All the best!
