Here's a nice project gun if the barrels are okay on it.

Looks like Stan Baker has it listed.

I just love those off face, badly re-stocked project guns. That gun was a project before it was abused and dressed in that hideous stock. Now it needs to be recycled. 300.00 seems high.

Have never heard of "Bentley and Playfair" before. Anyone have information on this maker?

Does the beavertail forearm look to be original?

Jerry none of the wood is stock. B&P sold some good guns but I don't think they made any.

Stan Baker project gun? The bores are likely to be his favorite .800.

One thing about it I'll bet Stan Baker could give you accurate bore dimensions.

A buddy at my gun club has two Bentley and Playfairs a box lock like that one pictured and a hammer gun both are nice quality guns.
I think his box lock is a Webley Screw Grip Action.

PS...Ky Jon you really think $300 is too high. I sure hope you get a camera for Christmas this year....we can't wait to see pictures of all your project guns.

$100.00.?..the action appears to have been buffed on with a wheel during the re-blue, damaging the engraving....wood is kindling (Fajen type junk), loose action may or may not tighten during cc @1350 F.....? Probably re-pin....? When you're all done, I don't think you would have much because of the extra wear.....you could probably buy a round robin plane ticket to Gatwick and be money ahead...!

A Birmingham clunker hardly worth the effort. For few hundred more one can get perfectly functional French gun equal to that past best if used by date thingy.
What is it with you boys and those English guns? Is it the fact that they speak same tongue in a weird kinda way?
