There were only 44 Parker B Grade 10 Gauge Lifter-Action hammer guns made, and there were only 45 Parker B Grade 10 Gauge Top-Action hammer guns made.

Although this gun's watertable has only a B it is a hammerless gun. I think that is really a BH right? Being a Fox man, I didn't think about the hammerless issue.

How many hammerless guns, Don?

Best, Dick

The remains of this once great Parker 10 bore could be rebuilt as a great 12 gauge shooter by sleeving the original 10 gauge barrels to 12 gauge and 32 inches long. Toby Barclay could get this part of the restoration done in less than 1 year most likely. The wood replacement could be done after that back here in the USA. All of this would take about 2 years and $5500, maybe a little more. If you want a "B" Grade Parker SXS that you can shoot with modern ammo sleeving is the way to go and Toby's sleeving done in England is some of the best available. A Parker B grade gun is not that rare or valuable to warrant a lot of effort or expense, especially in 10 ga.

When you got done, you'd still have a restocked, funky barreled Parker that was too large and heavy to use for most interests. I'll bet it would have a market value of 60-75% of what you had paid to rehab it. You can buy a B grade Parker 10 for under $10K that still has it's own tubes and wood.

Wow that's ashame, they made very very few B grade guns in 10 gauge. Sounds like it's reached near parts gun status.

Gregsy,

I sort of thought the same thing once I figured out it was a 10. Sleeved and restocked, it's not the best shooter and it's not a collector gun.

I suppose it would make a killer clays gun.

It's rare alright. Go find another one. It's just not desirable.

I would still be interested in completing the project. I would like to see a picture, or get it in the mail (the gun, not the picture).
