Impossible to list just three or four single-shot books.

Again the the five James Grant books are a must have. Then all the Gerald Kelver I think there are five or six. I would get all three or four Roberts. And my pick of a Townsend Whelen book would be the 1918 "The American Rifle". This would be the core of any single-shot rifle study.
