I picled up a w.richards shotgun. it has a lever on the left side that extends down under the receiver. the lock plate is marked w.richards. the barrels have w.richards liverpool.
the gun is missing the right side lock plate, both hammers, the triger guard and forend. where can I get parts for this gun.
the metal and wood is in excellent condition. I got it from an estate and the story I got was the right side lock was malfunctioning and the owner has taken it apart to atempt to repair it about 15 years ago. the missing parts are long gone. possibly thrown out when the old guy was moved into a nursing home.
any information or links you can provide would be helpful

I would have to say your S.O.L.

W. Richards of Liverpool made some extremely nice guns, the ones I have had in hand were all well made. I dont think you are going to have any luck finding a lock, the hammers, the trigger guard and forend....these parts would all have to be made, fitted and finished....and it will cost waaaaaaay more than the gun is worth...way more.

Best place for this gun would be hanging on the wall with the left side facing out...they make great art pieces.

I contacted the company and I am awaiting a reply. this gun is in remarkably good condition with excellent bores and very minimal wear. a shame the other parts were lost. looks like I have a project on my hands
