I have a wooley style snap cap that I put in my 16ga with ejectors. Probably not a good idea. Left cap came out. Right one is flush with the barrel and below the ejector.
As Astro the wonder dog would say - Rut Row!

Randy - you should be able to easily push it out of the chamber using a cleaning rod from the muzzle end. If it went past the extractor one way, it should be able to the other. If you can't work it past the extractor, you should be able to easily remove the extractor retaining screw in the bottom of the lumps and remove the extractor to allow the snap-cap to exit.
Post back if that doesn't clear up the problem.

It sounds like some of the fiberous material got wedged in the extractor/barrel. Pushing it out from the muzzle is what I'd do also. Take care in forcing the gun open as it puts pressure on the extractor mechanism. So, maybe just unlatch the gun and work from the muzzle until it opens on its own.

One point I left out. Cannot close the action. The ejector is on top of the brass base so it won't allow me to close it. Ugh!

No issue, seems to me. Poke the snap cap back, work it past the extractor, figgur out whuffo it diddat, and donndoitagain.

If you are concerned about getting it past the extractor without bending/breaking it, consider removing the barrels from the frame and removing the extractor from the barrel first before driving out the snapcap.

There is no need to close the gun. Remove the forearm while holding the open barrels and remove the barrels. As Chuck said, remove the extractor if necessary.

I did not get to this yet. Forgot that my social coordinator had something on my schedule last night. I hope to rectify this by Sunday evening - have to put my GI Joe clothes on this weekend so I am tied up until late Sunday.
