Joe, that model is highly successful with many venues. Stephen J. Gould published 5 or 6 books this way from articles already written in Natural History. He made dollars - a lot of dollars in his case - on each article twice. Not a bad deal if you can swing it.

I would pay money for a compendium of Bill Calfee articles on .22 rf from Precision Shooting, if such a thing exists.
