Sounds like someone stuck the muzzle in the mud or snow and blasted away. I've had several rifles with bulged barrels some were undetectable until you pushed a tight patch thru and you could feel it slip. Most of them shot quite well. I'd buy it!!

No, Ken, it happened in police ballistic labotory and unfortunatly it happens from time to time. Experts from police decrease powder in ammo trying to get shot bullet with minimum defects, but with very good visible traces from rifling. As result bullet sticks in bbl. These idiots like to shoot second time trying to get the stuck bullet or to use rod and hammer without drilling hole in stuck bullet first. I heard about at least 4 the same cases.

Geno,

Wow!! those guys must have a death wish! You might check the warranty available on the S&B scope. If broken they may repair for little or no charge even if your not the original owner.

Regards,
Ken

Remember rifle barrels on drillings are thin, thin, thin. It's definitely possible.

Hey Geno

Whatever happened to that wild boar web cam in Estonia? It doesn't work for me anymore. Did they move it or did it just go down?

Geno, I think I would buy it. The gun looks great and if the targets shown reflect its accuracy, thats sure good enough. I have a Win Model 70, in 375 H&H, one of my Dads guns, that has a slight bulge about the same place. I have no idea how long it has been there, and wouldnt have known had not some "expert" pointed it out to me. It is a good rifle , we have used it for about everything all over the world. I am not going to worry about it, nor should you...

Is that about 50mm at 100m with six shots? If that's so it's pretty impressive for gun of this type.
My 9.3x62 does a bit better, but that is Mauser type bolt gun.

No, I certainly would not want to send something generating 340 to 380MPa in the chamber down even slightly bulged rifled tube. After all having confidence in equipment I use counts for a lot.
