I cleaned the inside of the hull with an ammonia based glass cleaner - after the fiber wad was inserted but before the shot drop. I just stuck a paper towell sprayed with a Windex type product into the shell and made a circle with it.

I tried several different combinations of dilution and quantity per shell. What worked best for me was a one part waterglass mixed with one part water. I used one eyedropper full of the mixture per shell. It was thin enough to wick up the sides of the shell but too vicous to leak into the shot charge.

I tried two parts water to one part waterglass and this leaked into the shot charge.

Pure waterglass didn't seem to wick up the sides of the brass shell very well.

Best,

Mike
