Perhaps it will be helpful to consider the fate of the near defunct Shooting Sportsman BBS.
We may also wish to harken back to the 19th century. When a polite dinner was finished, the men retired to a room where they could/would, if inclined to do so,discuss and/or cuss to their heart's content.
That room often was the high-lite of the evening.
