Hi everyone,
We have had a sluggish performance issue for the last week or so and I’ve determined it to be an issue with the SQL server that runs the BBS database.
I have made the hosting company aware of the issue and after a few minutes of me blabbing they concur. I am told the SQL server issue is apparent and now escalated to a priority for them to fix.
Hopefully they will remedy the problem shortly and we will get our much need speedy performance back again.
I expect slow performance and maybe an error pop or two through the weekend…So if you need to get away from your PC and hunt a bit this weekend looks like a fantastic opportunity. (I’m hoping to trying out my new Lone Wolf Alpha tree stand and if the weather holds maybe even shooting some new 20 bore Paradox loads through my Simson.)

This is as bad or worse than I have seen this bbs run. It required 2 1/2 minutes to load this topic. I see I am the first it recorded as even viewing the topic, some 2 1/2 hours after it was posted by Dave. This site is far and away my favorite site on the internet to linger and chat a bit, but it isn't worth looking at like it is now. I have a high speed cable modem, and it is like it's in ultra slow motion. I sincerely hope you are able to get it repaired. I'll check back in after the weekend and hope for the best. Thanks for all the past good times.

8:21 am on 11/26...performance seems to have improved.
I am able to load things pretty quickly. Even shut the BBS off and made a bcak up which is 200MB of just text!
Hopefully the fix is not just a bandaid and it is permanent.
I will be in contact with the hosting company throughout the day to see what they have done and if it's permanent.
