Dewey - That is beautiful. Is this for your own personal use, or do you have a buyer?

That is super. Can you describe the finish method and materials for that wood?

Lovely.

Can you please tell us more about the "HOLE" in each side; and also about the modified hinge pin?

Ed, it is for sale. BrentD, the stock finish is just boiled linseed oil sanded in, nothing magical or mysterious. Jerry, the "holes" in each side are cocking indicator windows. When the gun is cocked the gold-plated indicators show through the glass. I liked the look of the early pin guns so I removed the original pin, contoured the hole and made a new pin from tool steel (O-1).

Mr.Vicknair;
Man, that is some awsome metal work -- absolutely beautiful shotgun -- but I'm a sucker for anything with side plates on it. As a "wannabe" and tinkerer, I can only marvel at that level of talent --- You folks set the bar so high it scares me.
Respectfully;
Bill

Wow, that is stunning. I am curious about the seam where the sideplate meets the frame. I was thinking it might be hidden with engraving, but see that it is not. Could it have been micro welded and filed down?

Regardless, I love the gun. As a sideplated boxlock (i.e. Lefever), it makes one wonder why Fox didn't build them that way to begin with.

If you missed any single area, that is not treated to a unique touch, I have missed it. Even the front trigger web has been worked. Is this just a whimsical piercing of the web or did you make the front trigger articulated? Your talents are only matched by the thought that you put into the gun. I just don not know enough big words to say nice things about your gun.
