Burch,
The Remington STS, Nitro, Premier, Game Loads etc are basically the same internally. The only difference is that the STS, Premier and Nitros have a real brass head, the others if brass looking are plated steel.
I also reload Rem. that are cut to 2 5/16" that I roll crimp. I use 12.1 grs. Win AA Lite powder, Win. AA12SL wad, Rem. 209 primers with 1 0z. shot. 970 fps. and 5500 psi. No felt recoil. I shoot these in a 1892 WW GReener with 2 1/2" chambers and they are very nice. This same load in a 2 3/4" 6 crimp is also a very nice low-pressure, low velocity that works for me in hunting also.
The Remingtons cut to 2 5/16" gives me enough to use 1-.030 overshot card and a very nice roll crimp. If you leave the hull at 2 1/2" the roll crimp will look very ugly.
If you look at the Hodgdon site you will see this load using Remington hulls or Winchester.
