Problem is that it cost more than the gun is worth when you are done. NID .410's are not cheap but a stock job, fitting and finishing the gun will run several thousand dollars. On top of that the NID kit guns were not of the highest quality. Some claim that they were parts rejected or left over when ICD folded. The ones I have seen have been a little rough and I suspect the final product will leave much to be desired.

That said, if you are going to sink that much money and time into a gun like this you need to make it as high grade gun as you can. If you make it a grade 1 project you will have $2-3-4,000.00 in the gun. Spend another $1,000 and get it engraved and maybe a little gold work and make into a grade 4-5-6-7. Only way to justify the investment.

You can find .410 grade 1 guns with decent finish for less than you are looking at. You could restock it and reblue the barrels and still be cheaper than your new gun project. Beware of the fixxer uppper and a kit gun is certainly one of those. MONEY PIT. You will need deep pockets if you need to have other do the work.
