Maybe that's why Ruger went to a stainless receiver on their over and blunder. I won one- a 12 gauge SC Model-30" choked tubes, at a 52/card deck raffle at a PF Sponsor Banquet some years ago-had three guys bidding to buy it NIB from me right there- it felt like a shiny 2x4 turned sideways in my hands-and as I am "no rattle or shine" waterfowler-glad to let it go. I'd like a M21 std. grade- no engraving, older receiver style- 30" Mod. and Imp. Mod- 3" chambers, ejectors, red recoil pad. A gunsmith rates the M21 as having the best single trigger of any American double, and the LC Smith as the most "trouble-prone". If I had such a gun, I'd just leave it set to fire the right barrel first-like single triggers, as all my Model 12's seem to have 'em-But at the prices I see on line and in the Gun Digest- $7-8K is a tad much for a double (for me)-so, I'll aprreciate yours and the new one- sounds like a good gun- didn't know anyone was still making the M21-sorta like the rumors of the "New old quality pre-64 Model 70-" have to see and shoot one to know if that's fact or fiction. Good luck with the webfeets-RWTF
