Don't want to replace the 21, just be able to have something else to take some of the daily wear and tear from the 21 without going to a "black gun". Plus, the RBL's can handle all non tox shot so won't break the bank buying $3 per shot classic doubles or some other high dollar shot.

What is a RBL? I just sold the Fox HE-and am putting the $ into the bank against the comin' risin' tide-a, sorry to predict- it will NOT be McCain as our next POTUS-I do have a 'black gun" a Mossenbergher 835-and it kills geese deader than a country graveyard at deep dark midnight-but it is uglier than "home-made poop"-RWTF

Link to the Conn. Shotgun RBL is on the upper left of this page. The web address is http://www.rblshotgun.com/All American made side by side made for waterfowling under 3k. Hard to beat for a day to day gun that I can hand down when I am done with it. Semi custom with the options. Offered with a Md 21 style trigger and the gun is built by the guys building the new Md 21. I have a Benelli SBE that I use when I can't force the Md 21 in a nasty situation. Like layout salt water hunting or any kind of salt water hunting where the gun is likely to get wet. Salt water eats guns faster than you can clean them.

Maybe that's why Ruger went to a stainless receiver on their over and blunder. I won one- a 12 gauge SC Model-30" choked tubes, at a 52/card deck raffle at a PF Sponsor Banquet some years ago-had three guys bidding to buy it NIB from me right there- it felt like a shiny 2x4 turned sideways in my hands-and as I am "no rattle or shine" waterfowler-glad to let it go. I'd like a M21 std. grade- no engraving, older receiver style- 30" Mod. and Imp. Mod- 3" chambers, ejectors, red recoil pad. A gunsmith rates the M21 as having the best single trigger of any American double, and the LC Smith as the most "trouble-prone". If I had such a gun, I'd just leave it set to fire the right barrel first-like single triggers, as all my Model 12's seem to have 'em-But at the prices I see on line and in the Gun Digest- $7-8K is a tad much for a double (for me)-so, I'll aprreciate yours and the new one- sounds like a good gun- didn't know anyone was still making the M21-sorta like the rumors of the "New old quality pre-64 Model 70-" have to see and shoot one to know if that's fact or fiction. Good luck with the webfeets-RWTF

Hey there Cory-Reb (are you from Dixie?) Like the late Phil Harris (who shot quail and doves with a M12 28 gauge-not too shabby) I like Southern ladies, Blues and R&R, and cookin' just not Southern Comfort-left that to "The late Pearl" heard she nailed a 5th a day-wow.
Anyoldhoo- hunting pard and son-in-law just gave me a natchez shootin' and blastin cat-e-log-on page 49 lotsa Hevi-Shot for the Classic doubles with rebates-FYI-
Is there a website for the Winchesters? I might "pop" for a M21 Duck 30" to replace the older HE Fox-but first I have a few "surplus" M12's to find new homes for. With the economy in the dumper (MI has the highest unemployment % going-just like braggin about the Detroit Lions going for (along with the Cin. "Bung-Holes" a perfect record I suppose- 0 and 16-Good shootin'- I'm going out when the weather front hits this week-end, hope to get a few "flight birds"- the locals have been playing golf and visiting the Casinos during this spell of 70 degree plus "BlueBird Weather"- great for golf and yard work, Not So Great for waterfowling-RWTF

OK George- where do you buy said calendars? I have a adopted daughter who works for Barnes and Noble, do they carry RMC's wildlife calendars? As far as wildlife painters go (there I am on more solid ground-I don't know cameras, don't need to. We use the cheapo throw-away FUJI 35mm 27 rounds per box-if we lose one in the "boonies" No Big Deal- now a Nikon or a Leica or a Hasselblad like my current lady friend uses, them's be just a tad more "heart-breaking" to misplace I reckon. I like Shilstone, Chatham and Bishops etchings, also Roland Clark-RWTF

No can do-I've posted enuf to that Petoskey Lad- tried not to piss him off, Hell, I never said I knew Jack Schmidt about fotography-just a wee bit about hunting waterfowl (and no-rattle-no-shine Camo) which, along with inherent patience when I am outdoors, brings a few webfeet right into my ideal range- Shoot a mile Geo- Ol' Randall there gives me a Ph.D. thesis on Ansel Adams- I don't him from John Adams (or Jophn Quincy Adams for that matter)but one of my daughters studied his Black and White 1940's techniques, and I made the mistake of mentioning that, and I get the big lecture. Then I get called up for coming from the "cheap seats" and That Ain't The Case with this ol' Mick- I never go on "the cheap" -either pay for it 100% in cash money, or wait until I have the funds. Plastic money, margin calls in the NYSE ain't for me-so I'll see if his stuff is in the Barnes and Noble catalog, if not- well I get a free calendar every year from the Parnell Party Store (where I often buy my Killians and Tullamore Dew) find something "cheap" in those beverages if you like. Gee whiz, RWTF now I'm feeling bad for you. I'd send you the calendar off my refrigerator that Randy gave me when I bought a gun from him, but I'm sort of partial to it; and besides it's still good for another month...Geo

Thanks George- you are a gentleman and a scholar of the old school-How about you come back to me after New Year's with an offer for that calendar on your ColdSpot right now- how many "hot babes" grace that calendar- just because a man's on a diet, doesn't mean he can read the menu-right?? RWTF
