Thanks Pete, I was just going to suggest that. I also have the book on the Company by Cooley & Newton. There is further information there and some serial number details. Can you post the number? It sounds like an Avant Tout model. Lagopus.....

Thanks to everyone to all the good information. I also think that this gun is an Avant-Tout model, but I am wondering how those Belgium barrels end up on this particular gun --is it possible that the barrels are original? I don't think so, but...
Also, where would you put the value of such a gun. I am thinking for about $500 more I could pick up an Army Navy BLE or a C.G. Bonehill BLE or something similar.

I'd bet the gun is just what it looks like, an C&H AT rebarreled to Euro taste by ML. Putting the barrels back on face can be as simple as a shim between the hinge pin and hook or as expensive as $500 for a top drawer reweld and hand fit job. $1500 is into range of a pretty decent W&S Model 700.
