There is no minimum acreage requirement in Ohio for the landowner's permit. However if you shoot a deer on your place and it runs on to the neighbors place you better not get caught with a weapon on the neighbors place without a license. Also you don't need to be a resident, if you own the land and are a non-resident you don't need to buy the license. You are required to follow the rest of the hunting regs (no .17 hmr on deer here

). You still need Federal duck stamp for waterfowl.
Your right, I went to the hunting regs and can't find what I thought, I remembered. It does seem to me though, I remember a previous game officer in my county, checking to make sure that the land owner tags were legal because of acreage reguirements. But, then I am using my memory and I can see it can't be trusted.
