Just received a virtually brand new C. Sharps .30-40 High Wall, plain trigger, from one of the New Hampshire auction houses. The doggone thing won't cock. The auctioneer, J.C. Devine, quite properly says they will pay for fixing it or I can send it back and they will fix it. I plan to remove the lever pin and pull the guts out, it may be something quite simple. Otherwise, do you gents know of a gunsmith in the Northeast - preferably within driving distance of NYC - who knows about 1885 Winchesters?
