I also have not witnessed it but a friend from this board says he has seen it twice. I respect his experience. Thanks for the confirmation.
I tried a 7625 load at around 4200psi in a topgun hull which is supposed to be the same inside as a gold medal for loading purposes (I had a lot of empty hulls so I was going to use them one time for reloading and throw them out). It was a one ounce load. The weather was reasonably warm and it fired fine but the barrels were completely lined with unburned powder particles. I used a claybuster wad and the load came out of their internet site. I dropped the whole thing and went back to PB. This was before I heard about the barrel bursting from 7625.
