What kinds of game do you hunt over there?

Do people raise and release pheasants like they do in the UK?

Do you have grouse?

And how popular is hunting? Is it something most of the people in the country do, or is its popularity more widespread?

Allmost everything that can moove or fly by itself

Yes, we have polar grouse, that lives from St.Petersburg meridian and to the North. There are plenty of them at Kolsky Pens.

Very popular everywhere and some people do it for living,

I remember in the mid 90's lots of folks going to Russia to hunt Brown bears as it was much cheaper than hunting in Alaska.Geno could you repost your pics of the Capercaillie from a few years back

Sure. I have a standing invitation to hunt woodcock and boar in Lith.

Personally me not, but some guys have. Not sure there a lot of woodcocks in Lith., but for sure there are a lot of boars.
