Franc I wish it had hammers.
I'd say it's a mid grade Scott, 9 pin side lock, original 2 & 3/4" chambered 30" barrels with pristine bores choked .035 in both, side clips, square bolt third bite. I've had the gun for several months but haven't really taken any pictures of it.
TC I'm lucky to hunt in places with very liberal limits. Where I killed these the limit is two a day with no season bag limit.
Mike In the fall turkeys gather in flocks.....the scatter method works best in woods. As I told Lastdollar I'm not sure the method would work in wide open spaces like Kansas.
My dog is a Boykin/Wachtelhund cross he's trained to seek and flush the flock barking madly on the flush (most of this just comes natural).
In big woods he ranges about about 100 yards in my direction of travel...running silent until the flush then he barks like a mad man.
After the flush he's trained to sit/lay right beside me as I call them back in for the kill without the use of a blind or sack as some breeds require.
A few years back I had 5 longbeards coming straight at us to about 15 yards before I shot...It's amazing to watch him sit unnervingly as he watches the quarry he hates so bad come in for the kill.
