I would like to get everyones opinion on this gun. I've found one for what seems a reasonable price and much less then what lesser models are going for. Unless I misunderstand the company's model numbering. Am I right in assuming that the model 600 is a higher grade then the 500 series models?

As I understand Arrieta guns the 500 hundred series guns do not have certain features available on them such as H&H assisted opening system, the 500 series has a six pin lock while the higher numbered models have an eight pin lock, etc.

All of Arrieta's guns that I've seen are very good guns, I own a 570. The biggest difference in my opinion is going to be cosmetic. Some others here on this board who like to dabble in design/mechanical differences may be able to give you a more in depth description than I can.

The Arrieta catalog that I have from 2001 lists the 875 and 931 as its highest grade model.

An older thread sorts everything out. However, I'm not sure it was even on this forum. Use the search function.

Jim,

I know you would have a better and more responses to your question if you posted it on the "Spanish Guns" forum here:

This weapon has premium assisted opening action utilized by Mods. 802, 803, 873.... Only permium components and materials were used in it's construction. It's made of Bellota steel with chrome-plated parts to reduce wear and oxidation. This is not "dime a dozen" Spanish SLE. It's well worth owning if it fits and the price is right (remember about current sloooow economy discount). The gun is fit for duke of Spain or any other Euro country.
