I doubt it George- Hell's Bell's- Colonel Saunders (Lt. or Full Bird?) was an avid duck and quail hunter- had several Ithaca NID's I heard-I wonder about the $50K/for a Dixie paper plate of rubber chicken at a Barracks Bag Boy Osama Yo Mama Bahama rallye howsomeever-guess we get "De bestus Postus-s yo moneys can buys", me, I'm a votin' for Algonquin J. Calhooooon- rhymes with coon and moon and spoon and June-

Well at least old "Fuzz-Ball" didn't get into the rest of the traditional garb besides the green blazer at the Cabin- such as asking ol Eldrick what size Foot-Joys he wears- and the old Earl Butz spin on loose shoes-etc. Sure Fuzzy ain't a PC guy-neither is my old favorite on the Senior Tour- Miller Barber- "Old X" with those great Foster Grants-Eldrick is a great golfer, a fine athlete-and he sure flaunts his white "trophy wife" along with his Nike Swoosh and the Buick sweetheart deals- with GM stock into "The Crapper" wonder how much longer the GM lads will be backing the Buick Open at Warwick Hills-maybe renamed the "Buick Closed"!!Come on guys, this is a colorful story-lighten up.

You've got multiple "name associations" with Spiller's Parker, as the above points out: Bill Tapply as the subsequent owner, and the possible connection to Gorham Cross of "Partridge Shortenin'" fame, who was both Tap Tapply and Spiller's hunting partner.
I'm guessing that George Evans' Purdey, should it ever hit the market, would also command a premium--even though Evans had the chambers punched to 2 3/4" (without reproof) and messed with the stock. But the story of that gun is pretty famous, thanks to "The Upland Shooting Life", just as Spiller's Parker benefits from the story Bill Tapply wrote about it.
