I kind of like the idea that the Cheddites are stepped. I manually place the primers and they do start very easy, every once in a while with others that are not stepped you will get a jerking motion on the handle because the primer wasn't exactly centered in the hole.
I don't reload nearly as much as I did years ago when using a Mec 650 with the auto primer feed. Now I mostly use Mec 600 Mark V's and mostly roll crimp short 16's and 20's for older guns.
