I know there are a few gentlemen here that have and know about English shotguns and maybe small bore will chime in.
12 ga. 27 1/16" Damascus barrels .010 right and .040 left contriction. Serial # 34347. Top of barrel in oval Patent Treble Wedge Fast. Then on rib St. Mary's Square, Birmingham, England Winner of all Gun Trials 1875-1891. 24 lpi checkering weighs 6 lbs even. 14 1/8" LOP 2 7/8" DAH. Bores are .735 both barrels and I presume it has 2 1/2" chambers. Safety as you can see is on side and is manual.
Any information would be very appreciative. Aside from a few dings in the barrel, crack near safety and a sliver of wood missing near top tang, I think it is in good shape for an old gun. I'm figuring around 1892-3. I paid under $400. for it.

David: You got a steal if the bores are decent. Your gun was produced in 1892. The grade would probably appear on the trigger guard tang behind the serial number. You can write to Greener for a letter.

Just as a comment, the gauge marking of "13" shows that at the time of proof the bores were between .710"-.718". At .735" as you mention quite a bit of honing has been done through its life. Nothing wrong with honing, but you might want to have the barrel wall thickness checked just for peace of mind.

Nice gun and nice price too! Don't forget that it only bears the black powder proof marks. Lagopus.....

Thanks to those that have responded and like I said I don't know anything about this gun. My main interest is mostly with L.C. Smiths but I do like the feel and balance of this gun.

George, I kind of figured that it was from that period. In an older Blue Book of Gun Values 39xxx was 1895.

Steve, I was under the assumption that most British guns were bored slightly larger than ours, could this mark mean before final boring?

lagopus, thanks, I saw some marks there and figured that one was some type of proof for loads of that period.

Also when I broke the gun on the receiver between the breech and lock up there is writing in oval: WW Greener No. 930 Patent. Is this the model? Also could someone tell me what the choke markings are.
There was a small escutcheon plate on the stock held by two screws maybe 5/8" dia. was this for initials or did it have WW Greener on it and what was it made out of so that I might be able to make one or get one.

This looks like a 'Forester' grade gun. Plain, well made - as Greener wrote : all the money goes into the barrels and the action on these guns.

Patent 930 is for the Greener Facile Princeps action of 1880. Choke just means simply that the barrels are not cylinder. Sorry to be as simple as that but there will be no indication of the degree of choke other than by measuring the internal diameter and the degree of constriction at the muzzle in 1/1000ths. of an inch. Outwardly there are little signs of wear and if the barrels are clean and original dimensions inside it would be a good candidate for reproof for nitro. Most guns in good order seem to pass o.k. The stock oval is for the owner's initials, crest or monogram. Lagopus.....
