Why sink tons of money into expensive SLE? I would buy "clean" BLE and use money saved to buy good quantity of non-tox ammo and have money left to take a nice international trip. That T. Wild piece looks like a perfect young nobleman's piece. If it's as good on the inside as out it's well worth owning. Have a Wiiiild und gut time!

Rabbit,
Any details you can give on that gun (contact info if it's available, etc.) would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Sorry if I suggested it was available. I meant I bought it from Brian Perazone (member here) a few years back. Barrel address A&S W Davies, Brighton. I took the hovercraft from Brighton to the Isle of Wight 40 yrs. ago so it's sort of connected up for me somehow. A little no-name gun from a beach town and the only Brit double I have except for a Basque H&H copy. Bird is not rolled nor target smashed by pedigrees and maker's labels. Few coats of that old "slacum" polish on it since so the stock is a bit more presentable now. Had a wood extension which I removed right to the glueline and period pad added to get it down around 14 5/8" LOP.

A good, origional condition, box lock none ejector is the best value English gun available today! It is possible to purchase such agun in British auctions in the $200-300 range. Suggest you look at upcoming auctions, for example Holts. You will likely find that the cost of shipping to th U.S.A. exceeds the price of the gun.
