I think this was brought up before but I had to post it. I'm not into Fox guns but I must say this is some fine work, and the engraving looks better than most, the birds look real, compared to a few of those upgraded Parkers. What kind of things were they engraved on the left side? Plus I have to agree with their statement about comparisons. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=111081901

This pair of Foxes are very nice guns and the workmanship is outstanding. These guns have been on several Internet sites for months and even though they are nice, I have to think they are over priced simply because they have not sold in the months they have been offered for sale.
Never the less I would sure like to own them!

I think custom built guns like this are very iffy in the sales area. If people are going to shell out that kind of money they are going to want a real Fox. I am not knocking this gun, matter of fact, I think it is quite nice indeed.

If these were not such troubled times...I'd give it a go! Very fine and very subtle they are. Times must be tuff for up-grades? Times must be tuff for pristine chickin coop guns too!

Beautiful work. I've been looking at these guns off and on for a few months. I wonder what they'll be sold for? $17k seems like the craftsmen would just be making wages.

Walter, What I was being scarcastic about was the birds or helicopters on this Parker ungrade, and why would you highlight them in the gold. The quail on the Foxes, as any sportsman could tell what they were. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=111019327

How much trouble was it go from a VH (per the letter) to a VHE?(as claimed in the headline)

Dave, who did these guns lives in W. Olive and Jay who is selling them for him lives in GR. Dave's main deal is as a stocker and he is about as good as they get. He also did the rebating on those frames and such. Both guns were done completly here in W Mi. If you want Dave's contact info PM me and I will get it to you.
