Ooops-have so many "Scand-hoovian" pals I just assumed Ole was Ole Jensen- forgot Ole is also what the Mexicans say when a big Brahama bull sticks a horn into their-- whatever-does the .45 mean Colt .45ACP? or 45 years of age? I'm looking into 68 this coming Nov. Good Lord willing and the creek don't rise too high!!RWTF

It has nothing to do with Scandinavians, Mexican Wetbacks or anything else! Ole means Old. period! The 45 has nothing to do with a .45 Long Colt or ACP, and not years of age.
If you must know, '45 was the year of my birth.

Don- ease up there. I'm trying to do you a favor-sorry about the Ole meaning Old- I though it was Ol'- as in "Git along Ol' doggies" my mistake. I have a lot of amigoes both of the Sicilian and Scandanavian "persuasions"- no offense meant to you-and yes, I have both a Colt Combat Commander variation of the great 1911-A1 in .45 Automatic Colt Pistol, and also two Colt SA Army "PeaceMakers" in .45 Long Colt- the rounds don't interchange! I am a newbie on this, its my daughters and when she is gone and I VSF something, I have to wait for her to get home to help me figure it out. I read from other guys about the PM problems here, so perhaps you might blame the BBS "gremlins" here and not me-I tried to sent it to your e-mail as you listed, don't have anyway of knowing if you received. Just got in USPS mail today a new catalog from the Military Books- same author just wrote about Gen. Omar Bradley- guess I'll have to order that. My offer to give you the Patton book still stands, once I make someone a promise I'll do my level best to keep it- Sorry if I offended you, wasn't my "game plan" and win, lose or draw, thanks for correcting the "Jimbo" who had Patton from Indiana (Hoagy Carmichael, Cole Porter, and David Letterman- yes, Patton-NO) and Mamie Dowd Eisenhower crawing on her hands and knees in some West By-God VA coal mine while "Ike" was playing footsies with Kay in Strathforshropshireperth-already!! RWTF
