This is thread some of you may not know about. It is the construction of a Gemmer Sharps - what I consider the ultimate meat-getting Sharps. Something that I would expect to have all the functality and artwork of a worn carpenter's hammer, or maybe tree turtle rifle (but that's another story :))

Anyway, this particular Gemmer is a whole 'nother kettle o' fish and the 8 or so pages of photos of it's development are well worth your time.

I know none of the parties involved but I enjoy looking in on the project.

The Swedes made a sort of Gemmer style Rolling Block too! The model T33 and T33A by Husqvarna. A full length stocked rifle, with wiping rod.

The workmanship on that Gemmer is so sharp and clean, it damn near cuts my eyes to look at it. I swear, we are in the New Victorian Era, for gunmaker quality.

The toe to grip transition on the bottom of the buttstock is jus' plain wunnerful.

Made me smile, I tell ya.
