I posted last week looking for a mainspring for my newly purchased Lefever. Chris had an extra and sent it to me, and I installed it today. It fit perfectly, and now my gun is no longer a single shot, and I couldn't be happier. Kudos to Chris for going out of his way to help someone out! That kind of giving spirit helps make this a great forum. Now, back to my $5 coffee..

Yup!....Chris is one heck of a nice guy...he surpriced me with a new/old set of Lefever "ejector" hammers on his last visit to Toronto,....what else can you say!

I consider Chris Schotz a gentleman of the first order; and what you note here is typical Chris Schotz behavior, as that is just his nature. I've known Chris for at least 20 years, and found him always gracious to share information and accomodate my personal research efforts in whatever way possible. I highly value Chris's friendship; and although he would never call attention to himself, know for a fact that he has contributed greatly to our present knowlege of vintage doubleguns. Tom Archer

Chris and I have had a number of discussions about Bakers and he has been gracious enough to sell or help me locate several nice guns. He has always been willing to help me.Walton

Well, you guys are starting to make me blush. I appreciate all the compliments. I'm glad to help when I can because the help I've received from others, either on this forum or through other venues, has been 100 times greater than I've given.
If it wasn't through the kindness and generosity of many people when I first got into this hobby, I may never have embarked on this journey.

Blushing is good, so is a well deserved swelled head. You have helped me with my Bakers and I shoot them proudly. As a matter of fact, you lead me to my first Baker and of course it is still with me shooting. You though have lead me a problem where probably only more Bakers will help me.
