Its easy to remember how old my house is as it was build in 83 after Alicia removed the old one.The storm looks stright up Galveston Bay now but may move some north putting me on the clean side.yep mother nature is fair 25 years sence the last bad one then Carla in 61.These seam worst than the blizzards in Alaska with a 100mph wind and snow.looking now like Austin and San Antone will just get rain but Dallas looks to catch the twisties.

I was wondering about you Will. Whether or not you would leave or sit it out. Take care and keep your head down.
Milton I looked at the Atlas and Santa Fe, Texas looks pretty close to Galveston Bay. If it floods, Keep Your head UP not Down. That thing must be pretty powerful since we're getting rain and storm bands from it all the way over here in South Georgia...Geo Geo, I agree with you when it comes to flooding. My thought was 100+ mph winds and the things they blow around. Thus my "keep your head down" Stay safe, Will. I was not taking a shot at your post M/M, and I'm pretty sure Amigo Will knows where to keep his head. I'm not so sure he has his butt in the right place right now, though. He as my prayers...Geo

I'm in NW Houston and it's fine here so far. As for evacuations....if you're still in a dangerous area then you get what you get. People have had days and plenty of warning to clear out if they chose to do so. 290 is empty, so there's no problem here getting out of town - which is much different than the last time.

Will, Here in BR, we are getting 30mph winds right now, and gusting to about 45mph. There is still about 40% in the area, without power, from Gus, as we speak, but they are expecting more outages with IKE, so were ready for another blow. These too frequent blow jobs are getting too expensive! binko
