Is your rifle marked as to maker? I have a similar one with no markings, horn fore end tip and butt plate. Looks like you put yours to good use!

Steve,
Very nice. Are you shooting paper patched rounds?

Looks original to my eye....though internet pics can be deceiving. Not try to argue on our new forum Mr. Ken. Steve

Steve,
Do you shoot the hollow base bullet, and, if so, with or without a plug? If plugged, with what? Total projectile weight? Powder and load?
You may recall that I had a Smith, London, Jones action double for this round years ago. I never shot it, but Kearcher had worked up a nice smokeless load for it - it went down the road in trade for an eight bore Reilly. However, I still have a little single shot like yours, and dream of using it on our Oregon elk.

Didn't take it that way Mr. Steve. The more that I look at it, the more I am inclined to agree with you. Ken

Very cool rifle! I handled a friend's Snider sporter many years ago that was a fine rifle but at 6 1/2 lbs. was a bit light for the .577 cartridge. I never did have the nuts to shoot it, never saw him shoot it either.
Congrats on the buff Steve, (don't take this wrong but in Montana that one's only pan sized!)
