Some readers may be aware that the German Gun Collectors Association is 'hosting' a Prussian Daly Society. PDS is a relatively new group, not fully formed, to exchange information on these fine Dalys and to consider joint activities.
GGCA and PDS were present at the Southern Side By Side event at Deep River this April. A show and tell session headed by Ken Georgi and Dietrich Apel was organized there and many attendees brought their Dalys for all to see and to ask Ken questions. This event was reported in the last Bulletin of the GGCA.
A highlight of the event was an award for the Best in Show Prussian Daly won by a Regent Diamond quality O/U 12 Gauge that traveled from Florida and was oogled by all who saw it. The next Journal of the GGCA will include an article by Ken and me describing this Daly.
We will again join with Dietrich Apel and the GGCA at the Vintage Cup in Pintail Point, MD at the end of this month. Dietrich will again provide an award for the best or most unusual Prussian Daly.
Also under consideration is an informal (non-competition) shoot with interested Prussian Daly owners.
A number of Daly fans have indicated interest in PDS activities and they have sent their names, email addresses, etc.
