I'll bet you it is...don't wait till next week or it may be gone by then. Or, he may just keep a list of names until he decides to sell it. Or maybe he'll just revel in having something everyone else wants. In any case, if you do offer to buy it, turn yourself in to the PGCA authorities and beg forgiveness. May God be with you.

i joined this forum knowing guns could not be sold on it. i asked for info.members might have which they would share with me.several have responded with info.that has helped........for this i thank you......one member seems to have clairvoyant abilities and seems to think he can foretell the future; being this intelligent he is no doubt wealthy and has a closet full of 28's..........i have many fine sxs's, some more valuble than this one...........damned right i revel in pride of ownership....would'nt you greg ?

Guns can be sold on this forum. There's a big section for it.
Tell the truth - have you received no PM's from either forum? Have all of the members who offered help done so on the forum, publicly?
Your particular case is of no real interest to me. My point is that some of the same people who denounce selling guns on the PGCA forum are the same ones who fire off PM's to people such as yourself the minute a 'new' gun surfaces.

as i stated before, i understood guns could not be advertised for sale on this forum. iam not blind nor am i stupid, i did see a separate forum listing guns for sale.....mine is not listed there. there are a number of mediums availible that i could use to sell without compromising the integrity of myself or this forum. i find the continued insinuations of my using this forum for purposes other than for which it was intended an attack on my integrity. i regrete to say i will not use it again. i wish this were not the case ,as i have other guns that i'm sure the membership could share info.on

Really no need to leave feeling offended. GregSY's comments display generic cynicism about board behavior, and he does make an unwelcoming assumption about yours. But there's lots of value here if you let occasional sniping pass and engage the many who are happy to share their expertise. I've come away from this board with much more knowledge than I've brought to it. Most here are glad to help someone with kindred interests who's looking to learn.

G.F. Charlie's right Mr. Jones. We have a few folks here who seem to look for issues when there are none. You have a very fine and rare Parker. We would all like to see some pictures as would the folks at PGCA. With the serial number we could tell you much more about it. At PGCA for $40.00 you can order a letter that would give you all the manufacturing data plus the original consignee. The last 28 gauge VH that I sold brought $8,500 and that was a few years ago and not in the greatest condition. Please let us know what else you have that we may be able to help you with.

I WOULD ENJOY SHARING PHOTO'S OF THE VH 28. NO ONE OTHER THAN MYSELF HAS SEEN IT IN 13 YEARS. I WILL BE TROUT FISHING UNTILL 09/03/08 UPON RETURN I WILL TAKE BETTER PHOTO'S THAN I NOW HAVE.
I DID ORDER A PARKER LETTER FOUR OR FIVE YEARS AGO. I WILL HAVE TO DIG THEM OUT OF THE SAFE, BUT I BELIEVE IT GAVE AN ORDER DATE OF 1932 AND DID NOT GIVE A SHIP DATE NOR DID IT SHOW THE BUYER'S NAME

rjones it sounds like you have a fine gun. Talking on the board is for the most part a positive experince. Every once in a while someone will TRY to bring you down, but do not let them. Life is good, life is short.  Tim
