Jason, Since my e-mail address contains my full name and I have chosen to not disclose too much personal info here, I am providing a friends' e-mail address and she will phone me with your answer. sassysblau@aol.com ---Thank you. However I must say you are much kinder than me, for if I experienced what you did, I would scream the sellers name far and wide. My few internet purchases thus far have gone pretty well.

Hey guys, If you truly want to know, send Jason an email (which is available on his profile). It is then easy for him to hit reply button, answer the email and hit send. I'm not surprised at the name I received.

I think Jason is doing this the right way. Rather than anonymously flame someone in a public forum, he has publicly disclosed the details and privately (at least in the sense that one-to-one emails are more private than a bulletin board) disclosed both his name and the dealer's.

Is it not the dealer in Chuck H's post/pics on page 4 of this thread?

My name is John Allen.I am the owner of Game Fair Ltd. in Nashville
Tn and I am the dealer Mr.Harrison dealt with.Mr.Harrisons story is very misleading if not an outright lie. What really happened is Mr.Harrison called me on the Specialty grade and we discussed it in detail.I even sent him several photos of the gun.It was offered to him at $2400 plus shipping. He responded with $2400.I agreed and sold the gun for that price. When the gun arrived Mr.Harrison called and told me that the gun was as described but had a crack behind the lock. There was no crack when the gun left the shop, but sometimes shipping can cause things to break loose.I told Mr.Harrison to return the gun. When the gun returned I promptly sent him a refund check for $2400 less $300 shipping.the next thing I know is I am geting threatening emails from Mr.Harrison demanding Payment for his return shipping and the fee that he paid his receiving FFl.I refunded him the $30 we deducted and told him the other charges were his resposibilty and I would not pay them.I did not mislead him in my description of the gun,I refunded his money promply.I have been in this business for over 35 years and have a good reputation.I am sorry Mr.Harrison is not happy, but I have done all that I should do.I really do not understand what happened between his telling me that the gun was as described and now.If any of you would like to discuss this with me further,I can be reached at 615-353-062 or at sales@gamefairltd.com John Allen

$300 or $30?

What about the loose rib and other problems? Did all those things happen in shipping?

Well, it appears the stakes have been raised in this game. There is a wide chasm between very good- no cracks- on face and several major and minor cracks- off face- and loose lower rib. Perhaps the parties will post before and after pictures of the gun so we may render a verdict. Until then, we have no way of knowing where the truth lies. Even then, perhaps one or both parties has the know-how to alter digital photos. Toss a coin. Both can't be lying, nor can both be factual in this matter. One thing I am sure of is that $300.00 is a pretty hefty shipping charge for a 7 lb. gun, even if it was a round trip.

I read the thread. I contacted Gamefair. I heard both sides of the conflict. I have drawn my own conclusion: "deal gone bad."
It happens............... Grant.
