Ken, when engraving these old doubles (like the Baker recently posted), how hard is the surface to cut?. Do you have to anneal them?. I have an old remington 10g sxs hammer gun that I may want to engrave just for fun but, if it's anything like the ruger #1 i did years ago (one of only two modern gun engraving adventures), fun it weren't. Damn thing was like engraving flint.
