Since I constructed the horse, let me clarify -- it's sides were not "named" and "unnamed". The sides of this horse are "polite" and "impolite". Despite attempts to change to another horse, the first fall off this horse occurred in a put-down of the unnamed -- a fall on the impolite side. Named and unnamed alike are found on both sides.

Is this sideshow horse almost dead?

I now know more about HomelessJoe and relize he ain't homeless sleeping under a underpass and useing a libary computer to post here.He is a hunter that like sidelocks and most likely has knowledge to share and thats the reason of the post, just abit more info of who a person realy is. Truth is Knowing Jim and now some about Joe I bet in a different time they could have been good pards in the field. If the forum is the only contact you ever have with forum members it is a loss. I have had probably a dozen or so to my house through the years, shot with a few dozen. Broke bread with a few, talked on the phone with many and I'm better for it.God Bless

Tyle is my real name and has been in the family since 1849. Best gun would be either a 9.3x74R Austrian double that came home after WWII in a duffle bag and ended up in my hands in 1978 or the 28Ga Webley and Scott I bought from Bill Jaques in 1979. I shot a lot of doves with that W&S until I read too much and learned that the barrels (25") were too short.

Greg Lee, which is kinda short, from New Zealand, hence Gregdownunder, which is not very imaginative.
However I never thought at the time I would still be posting 6 years on.

39 years old and a professional Firefighter.
Favorite gun? probably my old Damascus Husky, if only because it's the only gun I have with a lead exemption .

Peter -

My Abby is from your 1997 breeding of Nick with a daughter. Your boy called her Nicole. She was the runt and is still less than 30 lbs. Abby was wonderful hunter -- as good as my Charlie -- and a joy to work with too. I think a campaigner could have won with her. I phoned you a few years ago after she lost her sight suddenly at age 8 to a rare but named retinal syndrome of unknown cause.
