I met a German hunter a couple of years back (in Germany) wearing a leather hunting coat with a heavy wool sweater underneath. The jacket was plain but interesting. He was also wearing knee length leather trousers with rubber boots and a wool brimmed hat with a Gemsbart attached to the side of the crown.(I know, surprise, huh!!)If I remember correctly, he was carrying a couple of pheasant (or hares??) suspended by leather thongs attached to a leather belt. The color was a dark green
What works on the European hunts does not necessary mean its practical here, good thing you didn’t meet the Amazon tribesman, you should see the leather thongs they wear on their hunts, they won't be very practical here neither.
