You are correct it is a 45, I had taken it out to put some oil on it just before I came across the Smith at a local gunstore. The photos aren't the greatest, but I don't see any sign that it's been refinished, but aside from a few dents and scratches most of the finish is there. The bores look nice and bright, could have been honed, but my gut says this is a gun that spent a lot of its life in a case.
I have other LC's that I can shoot, I probably won't shoot this one, if I do it will probably be with black powder loads. Thanks for the info.
