Good Lord! I hunt South Georgia all the time for quail, and I would choke on those rates, particularly the 2nd one. I suggest you check around the Dublin, GA area for cheaper rates. Quail hunts is quail hunts in South Georgia, they differ in how nice a lodge might be, how they haul you around the farm, and how fancy the "cook" dresses up. If you can do without the "Orvis Endorsed" tag, stay in a nearby motel, and brown bag your lunch, you'll be hunting more like the "natives" do and save a bundle. Google quail hunting in Georgia and see what else othter than Orvis joints come up. I have nothing at all against Orvis endorsements, I have hunted them, I am just old and cheap, I guess.
I live in Southeast Alabama. I hunt mostly wild quail here but I wanted to do a traditional plantation hunt. It is very expensive but it will be worth it. I would consider some lower end places but at these plantations, you are mostly shooting liberated birds. At places like Pine Hill and Quail Country, you are shooting a lot more early released birds.
Which plantation would you recommend?
