No mention of the Browning "visual aids" sales pitch. Anti-crossfire; the reflections from the Broadway. Course the ovahunda is sort of the red-haired stepchild around here.

Incidentally, Shinbone, if you have access to gun "scribblers", you might want to hunt around for some illustrations/photos of the way the shadow lines from ribs are supposed to influence our peripheral (one hopes) vision and aid the weapons guidance system. I think there's something in one of G. T. Garwood's s Gough Thomas Gun Books.

And more things in heaven and earth. . .: check out the "short ribs" or ramps each end of a swamped rib Charlin or even a very few Ithaca Flues-es. How bout plain barrel matting or stippling a la Browning or Beretta? There must be others? C'mon, pitch in here and let's have summoah ribs.

i was just addressing the basic shapes. everything else is a variation on a theme or else just a marketing ploy. matted barrels don't count as ribs because they're not ribs.
