Very interesting pictures of the inside of the locks! That is the first set of Spanish locks I have ever seen in which the bridle has been sculpted (metal removed). Usually you only see that on the best British guns, and I did not think that Basque lock makers were interested in doing that kind of work. In general, the Basque lock makers tend to be overly pragmatic.

Does anyone know if high end Spanish manufactures such as Arizabalaga, Grulla, Garbi, AyA, or Arrieta made guns with sculpted bridles in the locks?
