Chuck it was about a year ago that I bought the blank. It is certaintly worth a call he sent me a lot of pictures to choose from. It was a tough choice. The only thing that I was not happy with was the forend piece. What I got is a beautiful piece of wood but it does not match very well. Doug Mann told me that there was enough wood in the butt stock to get the forend so I never made an issue of it. I just kept the forend piece that I got.

Mike, if you aren't happy with them I'll adopt them immediately!
Great stuff guys, keep them coming.

Mann, that's some pretty wood! Here's a couple pieces I've been setting on for a few yrs. That top blank is from Cecil.

Just a curious comment of some of this beautiful wood and their wrist structure. Doug, doesn't that inclusion in the wrist look like a weak spot for the gun? Pete M. and David Furman, wouldn't the wrist strength be much better if the stock was turned over so that the grain would follow the contour of the stock instead of running out and allowing it to crack. Just an opinion, beautiful wood, maybe just rearranging the layout would still give it the beauty in the butt, with out the tremendous risk of cracking through the wrist. Again JMHO.
