I was just looking at a few pics of the blanks I have laying around and wondered what some of you have in the ol wood shed. This blank is probably one of the best I have that's uncut at this time. Personally, I'd probably flip the layout over and make a straightstock out of it.

#132 is a blank I bought from Cecil Fredi. It is waiting to go on a custom Fox project that is working on. Doug Mann is going to do the straight grip stock if iI ever finish the metal work. [img] [/img] [img] [/img]

Bill, I wonder if Cecil still has that 130 blank? How long ago was this?

Been sitting on this blank for a while waiting for the "ultimate" project gun to come along that needs a re-stock. Aint happened yet but we all need to dream.... [img] [/img]
Better to keep your mouth shut and be thought stupid, than open it and confirm.

Somethings are more important to the gun than it's visual vanties. Wood should fit it's station in life - anymore than that is livin' a lie. Wonder if the red carpet treatment makes the gun come alive in the field? The wood on my Beesley Sle, is what you'd expect from an upper 2nd tier London shop and not a bit more.

Mine aren't near the quality of the ones above but I have less than $50 in each. Both off of Ebay.
