Do any of you think homeless joe is really ol' lightning in desguise? They both do the same chicken dance. Or he could be a cousin to wonka the insane. I have often wondered about that.

Jagermeister, I agree. But how could any bbs or company not suffer with the loss of a hundred plus years of accumulated learning, shared for the asking, is lost? Most here wish they had a chance to ask a few more questions.
On the flip side we have added a few new member since then. The level of engraving knowledge is much better. Upgrade project guns are another improvement and tip for what to do and avoid can come in handy. The information, or most of it anyways, is still out there we just have to work a lot harder to get it now. We were spoiled.

Aw, ol' jOe's alright; I have to put up with folks who are a lot more obnoxious than he everyday, and I CAN'T ignore 'em!

Lets just say since we lost forks like Gaddy, Wise, Ruppel,... this board isn't what it used to be. PS. I like HJ, at least he knows a klunker when he sees one. OK Jagermeister, being relatively new here, I'm wondering why the gentlemen you cite are no longer with this forum. I am sincerely hoping it wasn't because they didn't like the occasional off topic remark, a little levity, or even a bit of harmless jabbing. I worry about folks who take themselves and the world around them too seriously. I think, (and science supports this) that this leads to a process of slow self digestion that accelerates aging and onset of diseases. Live, love, laugh... it works. As an example, about 6 yrs. ago I was under a lot of stress at work but thought I was dealing with it. In September I started getting a pain and knot in my upper back between my shoulder blades. It was bad in the morning and got worse as the day went on, and nothing I took or tried helped. Come October I feared this was going to ruin my hunting season and certainly affect my shooting, so I went to a doctor. He prescribed Valium as a muscle relaxer plus an anti inflammitory prescription. Two weeks later I was just as bad if not worse. I painfully and reluctantly went ahead with my plans, loaded my truck and went to the Camp for a grouse hunt. Rose the next morning at dark-thirty and it hurt to cook breakfast. Carrying my light Lefever 16 up the hills and through the grapevine tangles was a chore and a few practice mounts and swings were painful. After a couple hours the frost burned off and the sun lit the fall leaves, I noticed a strange sensation. The knot in my back was melting. By noon it was gone and I sure wasn't taking the Valium while carrying a gun. Honest to God, being there and doing what I loved did what a doctor and the best muscle relaxer known to man couldn't do. The same level of physical exertion a few days earlier made me miserable. Now it was gone and it never came back. I learned something that day, and now when I feel stressed, I know of a treatment that works with no side effects. Probably less costly too, even including the price of the shotgun. And that's how we get back ON topic.

Ol' jOe doesn't bother me, I just don't think he has much to contribute. Certainly nothing positive. With that said, I do think he gets his kicks from annoying people and that's a dangerous game. There was a guy who came into my shop and loved to agitate me. He pissed off the wrong people one day and got pulled through his front windshield and almost beat to death. Be careful hOmeless!

Kerryman, That was gold!
Imp. Mod., I work with some very troubled and damaged young people every day. I know what you mean; they just don't get it when you admonish them that they will be the ones glassed in a pub, or worse, if they keep behaving like it around other humans. Ultimately, people get what they deserve. Interestingly, it's they who are disproportionately represented when I run the firearms safety courses they need to get a licence; they are perfectly behaved then...
