Really nice! And American made makes it even better! I ordered very early and PIF as well. Hope mine gets here by dove season.
In any event, the gun looks like it will be well worth the wait.

That's the first RBL I've liked the looks of.
Congratulations.
I think they are refining the cosmetics of the RBL to a softer patina. It looks very nice to me.

I'll be darned, still don't want one personally, but I'm much closer than ever before. Looks much more eloquent. The beaver tail is not my cup of tea, but looks ok for a beaver tail. Have to scratch one up for old Tonster!

Thanks for the post Brian. Nice gun, enjoy.

Guess I should start bitching & moaning as my order is dated 31 October. I ordered 4x English, a straight grip and 30-inch barrels.

I am very pleased with it. The look, the feel , the fit and finish is very nice and looks nicer than the 20 ga RBL's Ihave handled. The 20's seem too glossy and almost palstic by comparrison. If I could get a 20 that looked like this I owuld buy one.

The wood has nicer fiddle back in it that the photos dont do justice to. I am very pleased with the standard wood.

The beavertail was a hard one to decide on. 28's dont have a lot of barrel out there and a splinter would be very small and not much to grab onto, especially since i want to shoot SC every so often and use the guns I hunt with to do it. This beavertail is very small and just enough to protect you but not bulbuous.

Will be goign to shoot 5 stand at Beans soon. will let you know how it shoots.

Please do not interpret this in the wrong way. I'm only comparing the "tone" of the finish.
I can see familial resemblance to the Galazan O/U in the subtlety of the engraving, and the tone of the colors.
I don't think I ever caught that glimpse in the 20's.

The serial numbers are not necessarily in production order. I have #2850 and have had my gun since mid-June.
Mine also has standard grade wood with DT,BTFE,30"bbls,SK-IC. I like the 28ga. better than my 20ga. There is something about the feel of a quality 28ga. SxS that is special.
Nice pics, by the way, and great gun. I've shot several hundred rounds through mine and it shoots as good as it looks.
