I have been browning for 25 plus years and I am still learning it is possible to get a good contrast and I think the quality of the barrels you are working on also plays a part, I do like the black and white finish you guys do you rarely see it over here, does anyone have any info on formulas and how to carry out the process? perhaps I can spend the next 25 years trying the black and white!!

barrel browner Sidelock Joined: Jun 2007 Posts: 329 Likes: 14 England	there is nothing wrong with the quality and contrast of your barrels, these barrels with the tighter patterns are a little harder to do, brown them too little and it looks wrong, brown them too much and you lose sight of the pattern, It is also hard to photograph them showing the pattern and true colour,I would say this chap has got it just right,
